Reviews and Ratings
I had a wonderful experience at Decameron Aquarium. The location is amazing, right by the water with stunning ocean views. The staff was warm and welcoming, really making us feel at home. The dining options had a good variety, although the buffet could be better. The facilities, especially the pools, were nice, but cleaner bathrooms would make a huge difference. Overall, it’s a great spot to enjoy the beauty of San Andres.
The Royal Decameron Aquarium offers a unique experience with stunning views of the water from its circular tower rooms. It’s a great spot for enjoying the natural beauty of San Andres, but it falls short on family-friendly features and has limitations when it comes to beach access. The ambiance can be quite lively at night, which may not suit everyone if you're looking for quiet relaxation. Overall, it has the potential to be a memorable getaway, but there are definitely areas that could use improvement.
I spent a couple of weeks here and found the all-inclusive plan quite convenient for a relaxing getaway. The location is simply breathtaking with lovely ocean views and plenty of swimming options. While the rooms were clean, they felt a bit dated and could use an update. The dining experience had its highs and lows, which made it a mixed bag overall.
The Decameron Aquarium has a lot to offer, from friendly staff who go out of their way to help, to beautiful snorkeling opportunities. However, the rooms could definitely use some updating, and the food lacks flavor, which was a letdown after other stays in the region. Despite some shortcomings, if you're looking for a fun, lively atmosphere with great views and affordable dining options just outside the resort, it’s still a worthy spot.
The Decameron in San Andres has its ups and downs. On the plus side, the location is great for easy access to the downtown area, and the food at some a la carte restaurants is quite enjoyable. However, many aspects of the resort are in need of improvement, from the tired infrastructure to the issues with service. Overall, it offers basic amenities but falls short of a true 4-star experience.
